The setup process begins by connecting your Trezor device to your computer or mobile device using the provided USB cable. You'll then be guided through the installation of Trezor Suite, the official interface for managing your device and cryptocurrency portfolio. Trezor Suite is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, ensuring compatibility with most systems.

During initialization, you'll set up a PIN code to protect physical access to your device. This PIN is entered using the device's touchscreen or buttons, ensuring that even if your computer is compromised, your PIN remains secure. Following the PIN setup, you'll generate your recovery seed—a series of 12, 18, or 24 words that serve as a backup for your wallet.

It's crucial to write down your recovery seed on the provided card and store it in a secure location. This seed is the only way to recover your funds if your device is lost, stolen, or damaged. Never digitize your recovery seed by taking photos or storing it on a computer, as this exposes it to potential theft.

Once setup is complete, you can use Trezor Suite to manage over 1,800 cryptocurrencies, check your portfolio balance, send and receive transactions, and even use advanced features like coin control and custom transaction fees. Regular firmware updates ensure your device remains protected against emerging threats.
